Job summary

SurTec Inc., a member of the Freudenberg Group, is seeking a Chemical Operator to support the packaging of chemical specialty products in a safety-conscious manufacturing environment. You will process hazardous and non-hazardous materials, manage sample collection, and maintain accurate batch records.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety and quality procedures, organizational efficiency, and experience with inventory systems to support production output.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Ability to make gross or fine adjustments to parts, machines, vehicles or controls that require coordinating fine or gross finger or hand movement with visual information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pumping equipment, containers, and samples of both hazardous and non-hazardous products while following all safety precautions and procedures.
• Operate a hi-lo to facilitate the movement of materials.
• Once proficiency is proven in the packaging of materials, the incumbent will begin compounding production batches.
• Document pertinent information for the contents of each waste tote and/or drum; ensure each container is sampled, stored, and labeled correctly noting distinction between waste types.
• Maintain all relevant batch processing instructions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean, orderly work environment
• Experience using and managing inventory management systems
