What you will be doing

As our Chemical Operator at the Umicore Specialty Materials Louisiana facility, you will be responsible for manufacturing, packaging, and labelling Naphthenic chemical products. Specifically, this will include:

  1. Preparing chemicals for manufacturing and initiating the manufacturing process;
  2. Sampling and performing quality control tests;
  3. Packaging, labelling, and preparing products for shipment;
  4. Performing routine maintenance tasks;
  5. Other duties as needed.

Who we are looking for

Our success is based on individuals who are ready to make the most of their skills and prepared to tackle any challenge they face. As well as your verifiable high school diploma or GED, you should have strong math skills, the ability to periodically lift 70 lbs, and the ability to wear a respirator. Experience working in an industrial setting or with chemicals, driving a forklift, and an Associate Process Technology degree is preferred, although comparable training and experience will be accepted.

Additional Information

Two rotating shifts 5AM-1PM, 1PM-9PM five days a week. Weekends and holidays off work.
