Base pay range

$17.00/yr - $22.00/yr

Schedule

Overnights: 2-2-3 schedule (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days & off 3 days). Every two weeks, you will be scheduled to work 36 hours one week and 48 hours the other.

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting with the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of assigned blending responsibilities and equipment daily, based on company standards. Ensure quality products are produced in the appropriate quantity and within established guidelines. Work as a productive leader/member of the manufacturing team and independently. Keep blending equipment sanitized. Maintain and monitor water systems and wastewater disposal. Monitor all production to ensure lotion requirements are met.

Essential Functions
  1. Ensure full compliance with safety and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
  2. Follow all Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and cleaning standards and guidelines.
  3. Train and perform blending in all the tank farms.
  4. Adhere to Tufco LP Quality System, Customer’s Quality Process Standards, and/or Specification Requirements.
  5. Perform cleaning activities to meet quality and operational requirements, including change parts, totes, drums, and environment.
  6. Clean and sanitize process equipment and blending areas.
  7. Troubleshoot processing system problems, take corrective actions, and escalate when necessary.
  8. Assist with weekly line sanitizations.
  9. Treat wastewater streams appropriately.
  10. Operate forklift and powered pallet jack safely (trained and qualified).
  11. Unload tanker trucks (trained and qualified).
  12. Perform solution testing with laboratory equipment, including calibration (trained and qualified).
  13. Communicate with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing using process data and testing results.
  14. Manage non-conforming items via the Hold/Reject process.
  15. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  16. Comply with all regulatory processes and procedures.
  17. Handle and dispose of chemicals properly, understanding GHS codes.
  18. Follow lockout/tag-out procedures.
  19. Perform cycle counting and collaborate with warehouse staff for inventory accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Proficiency with computers and calculators
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with computers, software, and data processing
  • Attention to detail, work standards, initiative, and management skills
  • Experience in chemical handling
  • Forklift operation experience
