Job summary

North American Chemicals (NAC), a division of NCH Corporation, seeks a Chemical Mixer for Mohawk Labs in Indianapolis, IN. The role reports to a Production Supervisor and involves mixing our product lines while meeting high customer expectations.

Starting pay is $20/hr with progression to $23/hr over the first year. Key responsibilities include manufacturing batches, maintaining equipment, and ensuring inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in a batch manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Basic Math Skills are required to perform measurements and calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture products according to standards at Mohawk Labs.
• Maintain and manage assets in the area of responsibility including equipment, controls, and inventory.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
• Provide detailed paper work to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Plan and perform batch setup and changeover processes.

We are currently seeking a Chemical Mixer for our Mohawk Labs facility located in Indianapolis, IN.

Summary

Reporting to a Production Supervisor, the Chemical Mixer will join our team to support a dynamic and ever changing manufacturing environment by compounding / mixing our extensive line of products manufactured here in Indianapolis. While meeting our customer's high expectations. Position starts at $20 / hr, at 90 days goes to $21/ hr, at 6 months goes to $22/hr, and tops out at $23/hr at 1 year anniversary.

Responsibilities

Manufacture various products according to standards at Mohawk Labs. Manage and maintain assets in area of responsibility including, but not limited to: Equipment and Controls, Operating Supplies, Inventory Control, Co-Workers. Contribute to continuous improvement in the organization.

Job Duties

• Clean, operate and maintain equipment in area including totes, pumps, mixing vessels, and raw material lines as needed.
• Read, interpret and execute specifications from work order.
• Manufacture batches based on work orders.
• Provide detailed paper work flow to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Plan and perform batch set up and changeover processes.
• Pour and weigh raw material as needed.
• Handle Hazardous Waste and Control Waste Stream/Flow
• Keeps Work Area Clean and Free of Safety Hazards
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally move drums up to 400 lbs.
• Performs other related duties as required.
