Job summary

IPG is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a chemical focus to design, optimize, and maintain production processes, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. The role emphasizes process improvement, plant performance, and troubleshooting within an on-site setting.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemical Engineering (MS preferred) with 2-4 years in manufacturing, and experience in process control systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Process optimization and control knowledge essential.
  • Familiarity with process control systems (DCS/PLC) beneficial.
  • Experience in paper, pulp, packaging, tissue, converting, or coated paper manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and optimize daily plant operations to maximize efficiency and output.
  • Design and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze process data (temperature, pressure, flow rates) to improve performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
