Job summary

Rowell Chemical Corporation in Willow Springs, IL (2nd shift) is seeking a Chemical Loader to join our terminal team. You will load and unload barges, tank cars and tank trucks with hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals, and operate a small batch manufacturing process.

This role requires a high school diploma, 0–4 years in chemical manufacturing or distribution, and the ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-4 years of chemical manufacturing and/or distribution experience.
• 1-5 years of manufacturing or other heavy industrial experience.
• Must be able to read/write/speak English.
• Must be proficient in basic mathematics.
• Must be able to pass a position based physical fitness test.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload barges, tank cars and tank trucks with a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.
• Running a small batch manufacturing process.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork associated with the manufacturing/unloading/loading operations.
• Contribute to safety and quality meetings.
• Identify maintenance work and work with the Terminal or Manufacturing Supervisors to facilitate repairs as necessary.
• Perform incidental maintenance work on equipment as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance work on buildings and property as needed.
• General housekeeping of work area and other misc. duties as necessary.
