Job summary

Harcros Chemicals is seeking a Chemical Worker to support production and logistics by operating forklifts, loading/unloading, mixing, and packaging chemicals in a safe, efficient manner.

This role requires adherence to safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies while transporting materials and maintaining documentation. Prior forklift certification and a focus on safety are preferred aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 months of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and work procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Basic mathematical skills for calculations and interpreting data.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Strong safety focus and regulatory compliance awareness.
• Preferred experience in chemical manufacturing, processing, distribution or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts and handling equipment.
• Read work orders and follow instructions to determine materials and containers to be moved.
• Load and unload tank trucks and railcars.
• Fill drums, totes, pails, and other containers with chemicals.
• Mix and package chemicals per established procedures and environmental regulations.
• Transport materials from storage locations to designated areas.
• Assist with hazardous waste management including handling, inspecting, and storing waste.
• Respond to spills and incidents per site emergency plans.
• Prepare and maintain hazardous waste documentation and logs.
• Follow safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties to support operations.
