Job Overview

This is a temporary position for a project-specific role, requiring a dedicated and skilled individual to control and operate equipment involved in chemical processing.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment managing chemical reactions during processing of industrial or consumer products.
  • Monitor gauges, recording instruments, flow meters, and other indicators to maintain specified conditions.
  • Regulate temperature, pressure, feed, and flow of liquids and gases per process requirements.
  • Conduct tests on product samples to verify standards such as pH, viscosity, and chemical properties.
  • Inspect equipment for leaks or malfunctions and perform routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure proper handling and disposal of chemicals.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, including temperatures, pressures, ingredients, and test results.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Understanding of chemical processes and equipment operation.
  • Ability to monitor and adjust processes accurately.
  • Troubleshooting skills for equipment and process issues.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in the industrial cleaning industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of chemical safety and handling procedures.
  • Acceptable background checks and pre-employment screenings.
  • Valid TWIC Card required.
  • CDL with endorsements preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to all weather conditions and various structures at ground and elevated levels up to 150 ft.
  • Work in confined spaces, with a 12-hour shift, including overtime and emergency callouts.
  • Travel to customer sites and Miller locations as needed.
  • Physical effort includes handling tools and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs, with ability to lift 50 lbs, and perform climbing activities.
