Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an accredited college.
• Alternative: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering technology with two years of full-time experience.
• Experience with CMMS, Python, and data reporting tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform foundational chemical engineering work to support safe, compliant operation of NYC drinking water systems.
• Assist with research, investigations, inspections, testing, and preparation of engineering plans and quality assurance evaluations.
• Prepare designs, drawings, contract specifications, and estimates of quantities.
• Participate in inspection of premises and issuance of permits, and maintain CMMS data.
