Job summary

Indorama Ventures is seeking a Summer 2025 Chemical Engineer Intern to gain training in production and process engineering at our Port Neches facility. The internship runs May to August 2025, tailored for full-time students pursuing a BS in Chemical Engineering.

Under supervision, interns will support engineering tasks, prepare for a career in chemical manufacturing, and present a capstone project to leadership at the end of the program. This is a growth-focused, structured internship.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time college student at the Junior or Senior level by the end of Spring 2025.
• Currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require work authorization sponsorship for this position or in the future.
• Must be willing to commit to the summer program for the entire 10-week program.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to assigned area(s) under supervision.
• Assigned to Production Engineering or Process Engineering in continuous production units, batch processes, or utilities.
• Deliver a project assignments presentation to the Site Leadership Team at the internship end.
• Support engineers in project and day-to-day engineering tasks.
• Provide status updates to mentor/engineer on project assignments.
• Ensure activities comply with safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality and responsible care requirements.
• Collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds.
• Participate in EH&S initiatives and required training programs.
