The Hershey Company is offering a Future Opportunities Chemical Engineering Co-Op at the West Hershey Plant in Hershey, PA. This hands-on role surrounds milk chocolate processing equipment and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Maintenance, Contractors, Equipment Vendors, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other support teams.

You will develop process designs, troubleshoot issues, prepare documentation, and gain exposure to multiple engineering disciplines in a real factory

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication and interactive skills are critical in this assignment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Knowledge of AutoCAD and SAP is useful but not required
• Completed sophomore year and have a minimum 2.8 GPA

Responsibilities

• Investigate and troubleshoot problems
• Design and optimize processes and equipment
• Prepare proper documentation of project work, including process flow diagrams, P&ID’s, and engineering calculations
• Develop scopes of work, functional specifications, and cost estimates
• Function as project manager by writing and implementing projects
• Purchase components and equipment
• Coordinate installation work and equipment startups
