Job summary

RBC Bearings is seeking a Chemical Engineer to join the New Product and Process Development Group in Oxford, CT. The role focuses on development, testing and validation of new products and their manufacturing processes, including self-lubricating liner components and related chemical processes.

Key responsibilities include product development, process expertise for RBC divisions, aiding manufacturing troubleshooting, and performing analytical analyses on new and existing products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in chemical engineering required.
• Knowledge of thermosetting resins, thermoplastics and elastomers a plus.
• Knowledge of composite systems and manufacturing techniques a plus.
• Knowledge of plating principles and practices a plus.
• Analytical chemistry knowledge, especially with FTIR and DSC.

Responsibilities

• Development of new-engineered products for RBC Bearings.
• Provide chemical process development expertise and assistance to RBC Divisions.
• Assist RBC Divisions with manufacturing troubleshooting.
• Perform analytical analyses of current and newly developed products and processing.
