Job summary
RBC Bearings Incorporated, headquartered in Oxford, CT, seeks a Chemical Engineer to join the New Product and Process Development Group. You will develop, test, and validate new products and their manufacturing processes, focusing on self-lubricating liner components and related chemistries.
The role requires hands-on analytical work, collaboration with RBC divisions, and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
- Knowledge of thermosetting resins, thermoplastics and elastomers a plus.
- Knowledge of composite systems, and manufacturing techniques a plus.
- Knowledge of plating principles and practices a plus.
- Analytical chemistry knowledge, especially with FTIR and DSC.
Responsibilities
- Develop new-engineered products for RBC Bearings.
- Provide chemical process development expertise and assistance to RBC Divisions.
- Assist RBC Divisions with manufacturing troubleshooting.
- Perform analytical analyses of current and newly developed products and processing.
