Job summary

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Deer Park, TX, seeks an Environmental Technician II to join a safety-focused team. Expect heavy equipment operation, confined spaces, and physically demanding work in an industrial plant environment.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, monitoring, maintenance, and adherence to PPE and safety protocols. Candidates should be able to travel, react to emergencies, and lift up to 50 lbs with a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General labor experience is a plus.
• Experience in chemical cleaning is a plus.
• Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
• Valid driver’s license or identification card.
• Must have transportation to and from work.
• CDL (Class A Preferred).
• Respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week if called upon.
• Ability to work for extended periods in confined spaces, extreme temperatures and at high elevations.
• Follow training and standard operating procedures.
• Understand and follow specific procedures and directions.
• Physically capable of performing all duties.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing/walking for extended periods; climbing, bending and kneeling.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up cleaning equipment per job schematics, training and safety procedures.
• Monitor equipment during circulation for integrity and efficiency.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE.
• Maintain personal PPE.
• Work safely around heavy machinery in harsh environments.
• Maintain and perform premaintenance on equipment.
• Assist in installing, fixing and repairing valves, hoses and gaskets.
• Inspect equipment and report deficiencies to supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Must always come to work fit for duty.
• Operate and set up all necessary cleaning equipment such as but not limited to pumps, hoses, and circulators in accordance with operations job schematics, training, guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Monitor all equipment during circulation for integrity and efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to wearing personal protective equipment.
• Maintain personal PPE.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, hot, and cold industrial environments.
• Maintain and perform premaintenance on equipment.
• Help install, fix, repair valves, caps, hoses, pump gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment.
• Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, pumps hose connections, chemical circulators, and general work area prior to starting any job. Inform supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.

• Physically capable of standing and or walking continuously for extended periods of time if necessary.
• Physically capable of climbing, bending / stooping, and kneeling continuously.
