We offer the full suite of maintenance and turnaround services including hydro blasting, hydro cutting, hydro excavation, chemical cleaning, PEPTM polymer extraction service, vacuum services, tank cleaning, degassing/vapor control, FCC catalyst handling and transportation, and specialty turnaround services. Summary/Objective:

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall safety, quality, and success of the projects assigned. The Project Manager is the USAD representative to the client and leads all facets of projects from kickoff to completion and lessons learned.

Responsibilities:
  1. Has overall responsibility for projects completed and the supporting team members.
  2. Motivates and builds trust with customers and teammates through open and consistent communications, constructive feedback, sound decision making, demonstrating technical aptitude, timely follow-up, and leading by example.
  3. Reviews drawings, plans and procedures for anomalies or errors and drives correction.
  4. Demonstrates commitment to safety and health excellence through strong personal engagement. Recognizing and stopping unsafe behavior, recognizing, and eliminating safety hazards, following safe practices and procedures, and striving for continuous improvement of safety and reliability in the refinery.
  5. Cultivates employee development and mentorship in the department.
  6. Adaptability to difficult situations at the spur of the moment.
  7. Communicates, presents, and interacts effectively with other functional teams, management, corporate network resources, contract and vendor resources, and hourly workforce.
  8. Ensures daily work schedules are effective, achievable, provide full crew utilization, and are understood by both supervisors and craft workers.
  9. Directs and sets expectations for supervisors and operators/technicians.
  10. Promoting open communications throughout the department and with other workgroups.
  11. Working knowledge of all aspects of field auditing including personnel, equipment, JSA, project plans, etc.
  12. Some mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills of commonly used equipment.
  13. Good understanding of water volumes, pressures and flows and other technical aspects of plant operations.
  14. Partner with customer to understand ongoing business needs and objectives.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
  16. Can handle tense situations with customers.
Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma required, bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  2. 5+ years of supervisory experience in the Chemical Cleaning Industry/Refineries experience a plus
  3. Ability to travel frequently and at a moment notice, passport recommended
  4. Must have valid Driver’s License, TWIC Card
  5. Clean driving record
  6. Professional presentation, confident in ability to promote service lines and manage work
  7. Organizational skills—able to prioritize responsibilities
  8. Sound decision making, dependable and strong leadership and coaching skills
  9. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, extended work hours associated with overnight and extended travel
  10. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  11. Experience with Microsoft Visio a plus
  12. Ability to read and interpret PIDs, PFDs
Physical Requirements:
  1. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, bend, climb, walk and stand for long periods of time.
  2. Work around chemicals, including acids and bases, work around hydrocarbons under high pressure and heat
  3. Climb ladders and stairs up to 170 feet in height
  4. Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment according to company policy (such as steel-toe shoes, ear, and eye protection, hard hat, H2S monitor, respirator/face mask)
  5. Refinery Operates 24/7/365 Management staff is required to respond to emergencies
  6. Work extended hours which may include evenings, inclement weather, weekends, and holidays.
