Job summary

Clean Harbors in Deer Park, Texas is seeking a Chemical Cleaning Project Manager to oversee ultrasonic cleaning projects, ensuring profitability and effective execution. Your role will include preparing proposals, maintaining communication with clients, and ensuring project compliance with safety regulations. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, and exceptional training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial services, hydroblasting, or chemical cleaning.
  • Experience in cost estimating and computer use.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job description

HPC-Industrial, Powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a Chemical Cleaning Project Manager to join their safety conscious team. This team member is responsible for the successful execution and profitability of ultrasonic cleaning projects, leading and managing a team of employees in supporting program execution. The Project Manager serves as the primary customer contact, writes and submits work plans, documents site activities, handles change orders, and provides field directives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and processes and acting safely at all times.
  • Responsible for project adherence to safety, compliance with federal and state regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Write and communicate with clients and fellow employees.
  • Provide timely, concise, and relevant information to superiors and subordinates.
  • Prepare proposals, including cost estimates, work scopes, and schedules.
  • Act as an agent of business and develop relationships with key customers while understanding customer issues.
  • Guide subordinates to meet budget expectations.
  • Lead all credit and collections issues related to work generated within the managed business units.
  • Provide engineering and technical support to industrial service offices.
  • Take full responsibility for all facets of a project, including finances and documentation, and be the primary point of contact for all correspondence.
  • Support proposal preparation, project cost estimates, and subcontractor selection and procurement.
  • Work closely with the Director of Health and Safety and VP to resolve issues in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Ensure financial documentation is precise, accurate, and representative of a project’s financial health.
  • Adhere to and enforce constant compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, or related disciplines preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial services, hydroblasting, or chemical cleaning.
  • Experience in cost estimating and computer use.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong customer management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Record‑keeping and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
