Job Description
ChemRite CoPac (https://chemritecopac.com/) has an immediate opening for a Chemical Blender/Mixer. This person accurately mixes and blends formulas to meet scheduled daily production.
Basic Qualifications - Required:
- At least 18 years of age. US or alien authorized to work in the United States.
- Able to work before 8 AM and after 5 PM, and/or on weekends. Read, speak, and comprehend English; speaking and understanding Spanish is a plus.
- Able to lift 50-80 pounds.
- Basic math skills required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Basic knowledge of chemicals and reactions.
Basic Qualifications - Preferred:
- Previous blending experience.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
Required Skills:
- Read and carefully review blending instructions on batch tickets before blending begins.
- Produce mixes by accurate weighing; dispense ingredients via eduction, bottom load, or top load methods.
- Accurately complete transfer of mixes to hold tanks or the assigned production line.
- Clean and sanitize batch equipment, mix room, and hold tanks; report any damaged, malfunctioning, or disabled equipment at the time of discovery.
- Monitor the unloading of materials from tankers.
- Keep mix rooms in tour-ready condition at all times.
- Accurately weigh and tag all raw materials being returned to inventory.
- Operate transfer lines, pumps, mix tanks, chillers, and boilers with care and knowledge.
- Identify problems quickly and implement appropriate solutions in a fast-paced production environment.
- Maintain strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills to achieve quality, efficiency, and cleanliness standards.
