Job Description

ChemRite CoPac (https://chemritecopac.com/) has an immediate opening for a Chemical Blender/Mixer. This person accurately mixes and blends formulas to meet scheduled daily production.

Basic Qualifications - Required:

  • At least 18 years of age. US or alien authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to work before 8 AM and after 5 PM, and/or on weekends. Read, speak, and comprehend English; speaking and understanding Spanish is a plus.
  • Able to lift 50-80 pounds.
  • Basic math skills required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Basic knowledge of chemicals and reactions.

Basic Qualifications - Preferred:

  • Previous blending experience.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.

Required Skills:

  • Read and carefully review blending instructions on batch tickets before blending begins.
  • Produce mixes by accurate weighing; dispense ingredients via eduction, bottom load, or top load methods.
  • Accurately complete transfer of mixes to hold tanks or the assigned production line.
  • Clean and sanitize batch equipment, mix room, and hold tanks; report any damaged, malfunctioning, or disabled equipment at the time of discovery.
  • Monitor the unloading of materials from tankers.
  • Keep mix rooms in tour-ready condition at all times.
  • Accurately weigh and tag all raw materials being returned to inventory.
  • Operate transfer lines, pumps, mix tanks, chillers, and boilers with care and knowledge.
  • Identify problems quickly and implement appropriate solutions in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Maintain strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills to achieve quality, efficiency, and cleanliness standards.

  • Identify potential FIPS and report to the Chemical Blending Supervisor.
