Job summary

Canteen is hiring immediately for full-time CHEF positions in Omaha, NE. The role directs kitchen, production and service staff, ensuring sanitation and quality. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, with a pay range of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, and an internal Employee Referral Bonus.

Qualifications

• Supervises cooks and associates, ensuring sanitation and service standards.
• Schedules, interviews, payroll, training and performance reviews.
• Prepares high-quality food according to recipes and schedules.
• Maintains proper food quality, portion control and temperatures.
• Manages inventory through tracking usage and requisitioning.
• Inspects received goods for quality and quantity.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates kitchen, production and service staff.
• Ensures sanitation, food safety and customer service standards.
• Oversees interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training and reviews.
• Prepares items to standard recipes to meet production schedules.
