Objective:
- To produce, Execute, and deliver outstanding prepared foods in freshness, taste, quality, and presentation in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist in all aspects of the Deli Foodservice in a way that results in a team that delivers products and services that Cosentino Fast Casual Customers have come to expect.
Essential Knowledge:
- Minimum of 1-year previous cooking experience for the level of Chef, Sous Chef, Cook being applied for.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in foodservice production.
- A food handlers permit must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment.
- Working Knowledge of all equipment normally found in a commercially run restaurant kitchen (I.e., Deep Fryers, Steamers, Combi-Ovens, Char-Grills, Flat Tops, Slicers, Hot Boxes, Warmers, etc.
Skill Requirements:
- Must be able to prepare and present food to the quality and experience level for which the candidate is applying.
- Ensure all foods are prepared in strict accordance with all safety, health, and sanitation guidelines, as well as in accordance with all relevant government regulations, and that it reflects the high-quality standards required at Cosentino's Food Stores.
- Respect the Food being prepared.
- Enforce strict quality controls measures of all food preparation and Deli products being offered for our Chef prepared line of cuisine.
- Provide direct supervision of the activities of all other members of the kitchen team in a manner that is operationally effective but is also motivating and respectful.
