Job Summary

We are seeking a growth-minded Chef Manager at YMCA Camp Kanata in Wake Forest, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for the success of both the culinary and food service operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Full culinary management of food service operation including inventory, ordering, and receiving.
  2. Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable.
  3. Proficient in menu development, cost controls, purchasing, and inventory with a focus on sourcing and utilizing local food products.
  4. Possesses a passion for sustainability.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must have a working knowledge of HACCP.
  • At least three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant settings.
  • Catering experience is required.
  • Experience with inventory, purchasing, and control.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Experience with exposition cooking.
  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable.
  • ServSafe certification is a plus.
