Launch your leadership career with our comprehensive 6-month Chef Manager In-Training (CMIT) program. This immersive experience equips you with skills and knowledge to excel as a Senior Living Chef Manager/Executive Chef. Learn from an experienced Belmont Village Chef Manager Preceptor at one of our assisted living and memory care communities, gradually increasing responsibilities as you grow.

The program includes on-the-job shadowing, a skills checklist, online modules, leadership assessments, and hands-on experience. Guided by your preceptor and program administrator, you'll develop technical and leadership skills. Successful completion prepares you to apply for Chef Manager roles at Belmont Village. We encourage driven individuals passionate about leadership and growth to apply.

What You Can Expect

• Comprehensive Rotational Training: Hands-on experience in all aspects of our Food Service Program, mentorship from an experienced Chef Manager, leadership development, culinary skill-building, maintaining high standards, managing the Food Service team, and regulatory compliance, all aligned with Belmont Village's mission and values.
• Structured Mentorship and Feedback: Regular communication, feedback, self-evaluations, and progress reports to support your development.
• Career Advancement: Upon successful completion and approval, promotion to Chef Manager. The program aims to develop future leaders within Belmont Village.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Preferably 2+ years of food service experience, ideally in al-la-carte or banquet service.
• Interest in working with older adults.
• Experience with POS systems.
• Support from a dedicated mentor during paid training, with an emphasis on self-directed learning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic troubleshooting, internet, and video conferencing, with ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Effective communication in English.
• Reliable attendance.
• Willingness to relocate post-training to any Belmont Village location.
