Are you a growth-minded Chef professional looking to make a significant impact? We are seeking a Chef Manager to take charge of both culinary and food service operations of a B&I account in Fort Washington, PA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a small but dynamic team, innovate with menu development, and drive sustainability initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full culinary management of the food service operation, including financials, inventory, ordering, and receiving.
  • Utilize your knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience to ensure financial success.
  • Develop diverse and appealing menus, focusing on cost controls, purchasing, and inventory management, with an emphasis on sourcing and utilizing local food products.
  • Lead initiatives that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility within the culinary operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have a working knowledge of HACCP standards.
  • At least three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant settings, with expertise in inventory and purchasing control.
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Experience with exposition cooking is essential.
  • Proficiency in P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable.
  • ServSafe certification is a plus.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Should have experience in fine dining settings, bringing a high level of culinary excellence and sophistication.
  • Must possess a keen eye for detail, ensuring the highest standards in food preparation and presentation.
  • Experience with financial management, including budgeting and cost controls.
  • A hands-on approach to leadership, actively involved in the kitchen and culinary operations.
