About The Role:

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 7am until 3/3:30pm

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the Team to create seasonal food and drink menus for the site and any events for the client and its visitors.
  2. Oversee all staff, including kitchen assistants, chefs, and servers, ensuring that the team’s creations meet the client’s needs and all legal and company requirements are met daily.
  3. Train team members on menus, serving procedures, company etiquette, safety standards, and regulations.
  4. Adhere to budgets set by line managers when planning catering operations, including food, equipment, staffing, and supplies.
  5. Establish relationships with vendors to ensure procurement of food and supplies at the best prices.

What are we looking for?

  1. Experience in managing Contract Catering operations and teams, with a comprehensive understanding of catering processes.
  2. Level 3 in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent, with unit management experience in the sector.
  3. Proven leadership skills to motivate and mentor chefs and staff.
  4. Ability to build strong relationships with clients and staff, ensuring expectations are met.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  1. Right to Work in the UK.
  2. Willingness to undergo DBS or Enhanced Security checks.
  3. NVQ Level 3, HNC, or HND in Hospitality is beneficial.
  4. Management experience within the contract catering industry preferred.
  5. Excellent customer service skills.
  6. Practical problem-solving abilities.
  7. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  8. Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  9. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  11. Food hygiene certificate (Level 2) is advantageous but not mandatory.
