Role Overview

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Chef Manager for its operations at Masonic Care Community, a large continuing care retirement community located in Utica, New York. This community, situated on a beautiful 400-acre campus, is home to more than 500 residents in a secure country setting.

What You'll Do
  • Be responsible for purchasing, menu/recipe compliance, inventory management, food production forecasting, and hands-on cooking;
  • Supervise large-scale batch cooking;
  • Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards, including recipe compliance and food quality, are implemented;
  • Develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards are met;
  • Maintain working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems.

What You Bring
  • Up to 2 years of food service management experience in a skilled nursing or hospital setting;
  • Ability to successfully lead, develop, and train a team;
  • Basic culinary knowledge;

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
