Morrison Healthcare seeks a Chef Manager to lead the hospital dining operation at a 112-bed behavioral health facility. You will oversee kitchen operations, patient meal service, and a small team of 3–4 hourly associates, driving food quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of culinary or food service management experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
• Experience managing purchasing, inventory, food cost controls, and budgeting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive operational excellence in a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide full culinary and food service management for the hospital dining operation, including patient meals and daily kitchen operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3-4 associates to ensure exceptional service, food quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, ordering, receiving, and cost controls to achieve financial and operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and healthcare regulatory standards.
• Partner with hospital leadership to enhance the patient dining experience and support patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Oversee menu execution, production planning, and quality assurance while maintaining high standards for presentation and nutrition.
• Monitor labor and food costs, productivity, and budget performance.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading healthcare food service team as a Chef Manager at a 112-bed behavioral health hospital. We are seeking a highly motivated culinary leader who is passionate about patient dining, food quality, and operational excellence. In this role, you will oversee all kitchen operations and patient meal services while leading a team of approximately 3-4 hourly associates.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full culinary and food service management for the hospital dining operation, including patient meal services and daily kitchen operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3-4 associates to ensure exceptional service, food quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, ordering, receiving, and cost controls to achieve financial and operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and healthcare regulatory standards.
• Partner with hospital leadership to enhance the patient dining experience and support patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Oversee menu execution, production planning, and quality assurance while maintaining high standards for presentation and nutrition.
• Monitor labor and food costs, productivity, and budget performance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of culinary or food service management experience, preferably in a healthcare, hospital, senior living, behavioral health, or contract food service environment.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
• Experience managing purchasing, inventory, food cost controls, and budgeting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive operational excellence in a patient-centered environment.
• Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed food service operations preferred.
• Strong understanding of menu planning, production management, and quality assurance.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional food and service while supporting the overall patient experience.
