We are looking for an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to join our team.

As an Executive Chef, your primary responsibility is to the customer, ensuring that every guest has a wonderful dining experience.

To be successful as an Executive Chef, you should have excellent communication skills and a passion for the culinary arts. You should be someone who leads by example, both in how you interact with your team as well as how to support our business.

You will also assume a variety of responsibilities and duties such as recruiting and hiring kitchen staff, training, overseeing food quality, creating and executing specials and potential new menu items, developing menus, as well as supporting the service team. Below is a more comprehensive list of your expected duties.

Job Duties:
  1. Manage and oversee all kitchen operations
  2. Deliver exceptional quality food and ensure timely execution
  3. Plan new and update existing menus
  4. Provide accurate menu item costing for new menu items and specials
  5. Schedule staff and control labor with precise scheduling and appropriate cuts
  6. Manage restaurant’s BOH technology
  7. Respond efficiently to kitchen staff questions and complaints
  8. Organize and supervise shifts
  9. Manage and lead BOH staff
  10. Develop hourly and salary staff
  11. Hire new employees
  12. Terminate employees when necessary
  13. Training and evaluate staff performance
  14. Manage food cost, forecast requirements, and maintain inventory
  15. Manage restaurant supplies including smallwares
  16. Control costs and minimize waste
  17. Create and nurture a positive working environment
  18. Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity, sales, and food quality
Job Requirements:
  1. Ideally, 5+ years of experience as an executive chef or similar role
  2. Extensive food and spirits knowledge
  3. Computer literacy
  4. Familiarity with restaurant management software
  5. Experience in event planning
  6. Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  7. Good financial management skills
  8. Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  9. Team player
  10. Good time-management skills
  11. Great interpersonal and communication skills
  12. Culinary school diploma
