Job summary

CocuSocial is seeking talented Chef Instructors to lead hands-on cooking classes at partner venues across the Charlotte area. Teach a range of cuisines in a beginner-friendly, engaging format and enjoy flexibility in scheduling and class frequency.

Instructors will handle ingredient purchasing, setup, and cleanup while representing CocuSocial professionally and delivering memorable guest experiences. Prior teaching and culinary experience are preferred, with strong communication skills and

Qualifications

• Passionate about food and excited to share culinary skills with others.
• Professional culinary background and food safety certified.
• Prior experience teaching cooking classes, culinary education, demonstrations, team training, or other instructional environments preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable speaking to and engaging groups of up to 26 guests.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organize the entire class experience, including ingredient purchasing, setup, instruction, and cleanup.
• Create a fun, engaging, and beginner-friendly learning environment.
• Teach classes in a hands-on, interactive format.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and organization throughout the event.
• Represent CocuSocial professionally while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

We handle the marketing, ticket sales, customer service, venue partnerships, and event logistics so our Chef Instructors can focus on what they do best: creating memorable experiences and sharing their passion for food.

Job Description

Our classes are hosted at unique partner venues including hotels, breweries, cafés, and event spaces. We create memorable culinary experiences for guests of all skill levels, and we're looking for talented chefs who are passionate about sharing their knowledge in an engaging, interactive environment.

Class Concepts We’re Looking For

We're currently seeking instructors comfortable teaching one or more of the following:

• Street Tacos
• Ramen
• Pho
• French Pastry & Choux
• Mixology
• Wine Tasting
• Seasonal and Themed Classes

Additional cuisines and specialties are welcome.

Additional Information

Job Type: Part-time, Contract

Schedule: Flexible; instructors may teach a few classes per month or multiple classes per week depending on availability and class demand.

Work Location: In person at CocuSocial partner venues throughout the Charlotte area.
