Cape Cod Healthcare Inc, Heritage at Falmouth is seeking a Chef to coordinate cooking for meal service, ensuring quality and compliance with sanitary standards. An ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, is required. The position requires a High School degree, at least 5 years in food service as a cook, Food Serve Safe Certification,

Qualifications

• High School degree.
• At least 5 years experience in food service as a cook.
• Food Serve Safe Certification.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to speak English and communicate effectively.
• Must have a valid MA Driver's License.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate cooking of foods to ensure quality products for meal service.
• Maintain proper sanitary levels throughout food preparation, service and storage and of equipment and work areas.
• Follow and execute department practices, procedures, safety regulations, guidelines and policies.
• Possess working knowledge of cooking fundamentals such as stock, soups, braising, roasting and sauté.
• Prepare meals for residents, employees and visitors according to written menu, recipes and production sheets.
• Ensure compliance with Food Service Safe guidelines and health/sanitation requirements.
• Inspect kitchen and service areas daily for safety and cleanliness.
• Report accidents/incidents to supervisor.
• Follow Universal Precautions and Infection Control Policies, including hand hygiene and PPE use.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations for lifting and equipment usage.
• Keep work areas free of hazards and maintain safe practices.
• Develop good rapport with inter-departmental personnel.
• Participate in in-service education and orientation.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
• Be flexible to cover various shifts, weekends, holidays and emergencies.
• Drive Heritage vehicles for errands and transportation as directed.
