Job description

Job Title: Chef de Partie

Join our team at the Blagdon site as a Chef de Partie, responsible for delivering quality food provision for Yeo Valley employees, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and cakes. Collaborate with the Catering Manager to develop the catering offerings, ensure consistency, and optimize cost efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver catering requirements such as breakfast, lunch, and desserts
  • Provide corporate hospitality for external visitors when required
  • Follow food safety guidelines and maintain a clean kitchen environment
  • Work with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service, leading by example
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
  • Complete all procedures and compliance logs in line with site requirements
Hours:

40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7. No evenings or split shifts.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a chef
  • Qualified to Food Hygiene Level 2 and have Foundation in Health & Safety and Food Allergen Awareness
  • Experience working in onsite canteens
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation and culinary techniques
  • Strong understanding of food safety and compliance in catering or food manufacturing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to train, develop, and motivate team members
  • Strong customer service skills
