Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a related kitchen role.
• 2–3 years of post-high school education, preferably culinary.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary principles and food safety.
• Experience managing people and coordinating teams.
• Strong verbal, reading, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Trains and leads kitchen personnel.
• Supervises/coordinates all related culinary activities.
• Estimates food consumption and requisition or purchase food.
• Selects and develops recipes and standardizes production recipes for consistency.
• Establishes presentation technique and quality standards, and plans/price menus.
• Ensures proper equipment operation/maintenance and safety/sanitation.
• Oversees special catering events and may offer culinary instruction.
