The Hyatt Regency Dallas is seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our highly skilled and recognized Culinary team. The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for leading and managing all culinary operations in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef. This role oversees four distinct food and beverage outlets, including the all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant, room service operation, and bar and lounge. The Chef de Cuisine will create, implement, and maintain a high-quality, consistent guest experience while driving culinary excellence, operational performance, financial results, and team development.
The ideal candidate brings inspiration, culinary expertise, creativity, knowledge of industry trends, menu development skills, and a passion for mentoring culinary talent. This position performs in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and plays a critical role in maintaining Hyatt’s standards for quality, service, and guest satisfaction.
Culinary Arts Degree preferred; previous hotel experience preferred.
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive culinary leadership experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, club, airport hospitality, or high-volume foodservice environment.
Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple outlets or complex culinary operations with in-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations.
Experience with training, customer service, labor management, and basic financial management.
Strong understanding of food costing, inventory controls, purchasing, and labor management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
A genuine desire to exceed guest expectations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Full schedule flexibility, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in varied kitchen environments with exposure to heat, cold, steam, and noise.
