Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
- Collaborate with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs.
- Assist in supervising culinary staff alongside the Culinary Director.
- Support the preparation and execution of dining enhancement programs.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and food storage areas at all times.
- Handle opening and/or closing procedures for the kitchen.
- Follow cleaning schedules as assigned.
- Ensure all food is received, stored, and prepared according to company standards.
- Estimate food and supply needs and communicate with the food service team accordingly.
- Participate in preparing and cooking meals based on recipes and menus.
- Monitor and document food temperatures prior to service and in refrigeration units.
- Ensure snacks and beverages are available for residents at all times.
- Keep kitchen floors clean and trash emptied.
- Assist in transporting and storing food and supplies.
- Help in preparing and executing special events, banquets, and themed meals.

Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to build positive relationships, provide excellent customer service, handle multiple priorities, operate kitchen equipment safely, and follow food handling procedures.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; 1-3 years experience as a cook in healthcare or hospitality; Serve Safe Certification.
- Experience: Experience in healthcare or hospitality settings preferred.
- Certificates/Licenses: Serve Safe Certification required.
- Physical Demands: Dexterity, visual and auditory acuity, ability to lift at least 15 lbs, push/pull carts, walk, sit, stand, and perform tasks requiring bending or reaching.
