Starting pay $22.50 and up based on experience

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs.
  • Assist in supervising culinary staff alongside the Culinary Director.
  • Help with the preparation and implementation of the LCB Dining enhancement programs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and food storage/preparation areas.
  • Responsible for opening and/or closing the kitchen.
  • Follow cleaning schedules as assigned.
  • Ensure all food is received, stored, and prepared according to company standards.
  • Estimate and communicate needs for food and supplies to the Food Service Director or Assistant.
  • Participate in preparing and cooking meals per recipes and menus.
  • Record food temperatures before service and monitor refrigeration and freezer temperatures.
  • Ensure snacks and beverages are always available for residents.
  • Keep kitchen floors clean and trash emptied.
  • Assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies.
  • Contribute to special events, banquets, and themed meals.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to build positive relationships, provide excellent customer service, handle multiple priorities, operate kitchen equipment safely, and follow recipes and schedules.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; 1-3 years of cooking experience in hospitality or healthcare preferred; Serve Safe Certification required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in healthcare or hospitality setting preferred.
  • Certificates/Licenses: Serve Safe Certification.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift at least 15 lbs., manipulate equipment, walk, sit, stand, and perform tasks requiring bending, crouching, and reaching.
