Presbyterian SeniorCare Network seeks a Chef/Cook for Sherwood Oaks in Cranberry Township, PA. This full-time, hourly role covers 6:00 AM–2:30 PM and 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, with every other weekend and a starting pay of $18.75–$22.00 per hour.

Eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. The Chef/Cook will prepare center plate portions for residents, maintain sanitation, stock supplies, and record food temperatures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years quantity food cooking experience.
• Long-term care experience preferred; degree from culinary school a plus.
• Serve Safe Certification preferred; must complete within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Chef/Cook- Sherwood Oaks

Cranberry Township, PA - Full-time; Hourly, Non-exempt; 6 AM - 2:30 PM and 10 AM - 6:30 PM, 40 hours per week with every other weekend.

Starting Pay: $18.75/hour - $22.00/hour; Depending on experience, Eligible for up to a $500 Sign on Bonus

The Chef/Cookis responsible for preparing the center plate portion of the menu in large quantities for residents. Responsibilities include cleaning assignments to maintain standards of sanitation, stocking supplies, and taking/recording food temperatures.

Requirements For The Chef/Cook

• Have at least 2 years of quantity food cooking experience; Long-term care experience is preferred and a degree from an accredited culinary school is a plus.
• Serve Save Certified preferred; must complete within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume.
• Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with both residents and team members.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork.
• Enjoy multi-tasking since every day is different.
• Have good attention to detail and time management
