As a full-time Chef/Cook, you'll help deliver consistently high-quality, restaurant-style dining for residents and guests. This role exists to ensure meals are prepared and presented with care, accuracy, and timeliness while supporting a smooth, service-ready kitchen.
Key responsibilities include preparing menu items as directed by the Manager of Dining Services; producing well-executed dishes with attention to nutrition and presentation; supporting kitchen workflow across prep through service; and maintaining required standards for sanitation, food handling, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
You arrive with a clear plan for the day's menu and get set up for service with fresh ingredients. Through the shift, you stay in rhythm with the kitchen team, adjusting timing so plates go out looking polished and tasting consistent. Between meal periods, you reset your station, keep work areas orderly, and complete the required checks and notes that support food safety and nutrition standards. The schedule is built for balance-no late nights-with a weekend rotation.
