Job Description

As our Chef and Back-of-House Manager, you’ll be responsible not only for creating outstanding dishes but also for ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. You’ll oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation and inventory to team leadership and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute creative, high-quality menus
• Lead, train, and manage back-of-house staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
• Maintain proper inventory and order supplies to minimize waste and control food costs
• Ensure all food preparation and kitchen procedures comply with food safety and sanitation regulations
• Monitor kitchen equipment and schedule maintenance as needed
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate service
• Maintain detailed records of food costs, labor costs, and other operational metrics
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef with at least 3 years in a leadership or kitchen management role
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and inventory
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain high standards during busy service hours
• Culinary degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• ServSafe or equivalent certification required
