The Kroger Co. Cheese Department Associate is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining a safe, clean environment, and helping customers find the right cheese products.

You will work closely with the Deli team to create an engaging shopping experience and uphold food safety and inventory standards. Responsibilities include answering questions, offering samples, stocking, labeling, checking freshness and dates, and ensuring correct portion sizes while minimizing waste.

Formación

• Effective communication skills required.
• Basic math knowledge needed.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent knife skills for preparation tasks.
• Current food handlers permit required upon employment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist customers in the Cheese department and respond to product questions.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and monitor temperatures.
• Prepare, package and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Label, stock and inventory department items; report discrepancies to the manager.
• Check product quality, freshness and sell-by dates; ensure proper portion sizes.
