Job summary

HP Hood is seeking a dedicated team member for a unionized, evening-shift role in Vernon, NY. The position involves batching, pasteurization, and storage of dairy products per strict SOPs and regulatory requirements. You will maintain records, ensure proper ingredient usage, and support yogurt processing operations.

The role emphasizes adherence to GMP, SQF, and safety protocols, with opportunities for growth within a large, established food and beverage company.

Qualifications

• Operation of the HTST system and maintaining pasteurization requirements.
• Accurate documentation for all charts and records per NYS AG+MKTS requirements.
• Maintain SQF and GMP compliance and proper sanitation practices.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
• Assist with equipment setup, cleaning, and routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Batching, legal pasteurization, and storage of products per plant SOPs.
• Document all charts and records and maintain proper certifications as required.
• Operate HTST and ensure correct ingredient amounts are used and recorded.
• Assist with yogurt silos, yogurt separator, and cottage cheese vat room as needed.
• Perform daily inventory to maintain storage regulations and transfer raw ingredients.
