Job summary

Ornua in Hilbert, Wisconsin is seeking a Packaging Associate (1st Shift) to support production operations, maintain quality, and help meet daily packaging goals.

You will flex across areas, lift up to 60 lbs, and follow GMP, HACCP, and safety procedures in a food manufacturing environment. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred; high school diploma recommended; the schedule is 6:30am–4:30pm, Monday to Thursday with overtime on Fridays.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform repetitive motions.
• Stand/walk for 10 consecutive hours in a food manufacturing setting.
• Work in a facility with variable temperatures and use PPE.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Flex to multiple areas to fill in as needed.
• Open barrels, blocks, or bags of cheese and other ingredients.
• Weigh ingredients to the specified amount per batch sheets.
• Use knives and wires to cut and trim ingredients to correct weights.
• Pack and box cheese, then palletize.
• Follow safety, GMP and HACCP procedures.
