Job summary

Agropur Cooperative is seeking a Cheese Packager I for a seasonal, fixed-term position. The role involves safely packaging cheese and rotating duties within the department to support production lines.

No prior experience is required as in-house training is provided; the candidate should have basic math, the ability to read procedures, and strong attention to detail. The team emphasizes GMP and safe work practices in a fast-paced dairy setting.

Qualifications

• Education required: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: No experience required; in-house training provided.
• Skills: Ability to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, HACCP).

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of the cheese production process and procedures.
• Ensure packaging uses correct bags, boxes, labels, dates, vat numbers, and information.
• Complete paperwork and pass to Production Supervisor promptly.
• Facilitate quality checks such as scale and metal detector tests.
• Support sanitation of packaging area and equipment; coordinate maintenance.
• Assist in cooler organization and upkeep.
