Responsibilities:

• Every Silicon Valley Elite coach will assume all responsibility for growing our Cheer and Tumbling program into a successful competitive program.
• Private instructors must maintain a minimum of 2-4 hours of classes on a weekly basis or coach one All Star Team in order to teach privates.
• Must take full responsibility for communicating with the team and parents
• Must be able to teach a stunt, a dance, a cheer, a tumbling skill, etc. with complete confidence.
• Must be able to speak intelligently to young kids, high schoolers and adults alike with knowledge and confidence.
• Must be able to be a leader as well as a follower.
• Must be able to take charge in an instant and continue on with confidence and grace.
• Must be able to choreograph material as well as learn material quickly.
• Must be completely reliable and dedicated to the Silicon Valley Elite Staff
• Must be able to deal with difficult conversations and difficult situations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a cheerleading coach or in a related role
• Must be knowledgeable in all areas of cheerleading and know what is going on in the cheer world.
• Knowledge of cheerleading techniques, stunts, jumps, and choreography
• Experience working with students, preferably in a coaching or teaching capacity
• Strong communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate cheerleaders
• Ability to manage behavior and enforce discipline in a positive manner
• Knowledge of physical education principles and child development
