Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a checker to join our fast-paced store team. You will provide friendly and courteous service to customers, greet shoppers before checkout, and accurately ring up purchases while processing cash, checks, debit/credit, EBT, and WIC. Candidates must be available until 10pm and weekends.

Training is provided at store level. You will maintain accurate register records, practice cash security, bag orders, and apply manufacturer and Schnucks coupons correctly.

Qualifications

• Must be available until 10pm and weekends.
• Excellent cash handling and ability to process various payment methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Greet customers prior to checking their order.
• Check out customers’ purchases accurately.
• Identify produce items and use produce and product codes.
• Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons; process manufacturer coupons.
• Collect correct amount due from customers and handle cash, checks, debit/credit, EBT and other payment options.
• Complete register records accurately and maintain cash security.
• Bag customer orders and ensure proper tape changes.
• Other duties may be assigned by store management.
