Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a part-time cashier to provide a quick, friendly checkout experience and help customers get the best value for their money. You will handle payments, assist at the register, and may help in other departments as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include scanning, bagging, assisting with self-checkout, answering questions, and maintaining a clean workspace. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and performing basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer to input and access information.
• Lifting up to 75 pounds with team Lift as needed.
• Sales-related licensure or registration if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions and maintain a safe, clean workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
