Job summary

Hy-Vee Des Moines is seeking a part-time Checker to greet customers, operate the register, and help keep the store looking great. You’ll process payments accurately, manage various tender types, and assist shoppers throughout the store with a friendly smile.

Qualifications

• No formal education or previous experience required; training provided.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register accurately and process payments of various types.
• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers.
• Stock, face, and rotate merchandise; assist with shelf tags and displays.
• Keep the register area clean and report cash discrepancies as needed.
• Assist in promotions, events, and other store tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to policies and food, tobacco, and lottery guidelines where applicable.
