Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Warehouse Checker/Loader IV to join its distribution team. You will load and secure products, use powered equipment as needed, and help maintain quality control of non-conveyable items.

This role emphasizes safety and accurate task execution in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The position offers a structured shift from 3:00 am to 1:30 pm (Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat), with generous benefits starting on day 60, plus vacation, sick leave accrual

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections.
• Read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure products in trailers in a safe manner.
• Duties completed by hand or powered equipment.
• Maintain quality control for non-conveyable products prior to loading.
• Report concerns about product integrity to a supervisor.
• Communicate special circumstances to the delivery driver via the Shipping Loading Report.
• Maintain a clean, debris-free work area.
• Work safely to prevent injury and protect products and equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Benefits you can count on:

Pay Rate: $21.50 to $26.50 per hour.

• 3:00 am - 1:30 pm - Sunday thru Wednesday or Wednesday thru Saturday.

What you’ll do as a Warehouse Checker/Loader IV:

• Maintain quality control for Non conveyable products prior to loading.
• Bring any concerns about product integrity to a supervisor's attention.
• Communicate any special circumstances to the delivery driver via the Shipping Loading Report.
• Maintain a clean, debris-free work area.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products and equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
