Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota is seeking a part-time Check-In Monitor to warmly welcome members, record attendance, and help maintain a safe, organized Club environment. You will verify items at check-in and ensure belongings stay at the desk.

This frontline role requires strong communication, data-entry accuracy, adherence to safety procedures, and a friendly, professional presence while coordinating with staff and volunteers to support youth access to programs and services.

Qualifications

  • Strong ability to engage and connect with youth in a group setting.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols including fire, severe weather, and lockdown procedures.
  • Familiarity with and adherence to all Boys & Girls Club/KIDSTOP policies and procedures.
  • Computer and data entry skills.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer relations skills.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for checking all members into the Club and entering member attendance into database.
  • Ensure that all necessary member items are checked in to desk area and not brought into Club.
  • Retrieves personal items when needed.
  • Creates a safe Club environment.
  • Answers telephones, providing general information, referring callers to other staff or taking messages as necessary.
  • Maintains electronic and hard copy filing systems, making sure they are accurate and timely and facilitate easy retrieval of information.
  • Assists members and families in filling out membership forms.
  • Assists with monitoring nearby areas to ensure member safety.
  • Serve as Club receptionist, greeting all members and visitors and maintaining attendance and visitor logs.

Ensure that bags, coats and hats are left at the check-in desk before entering the Club. Prepare reports from member database as scheduled.
