Summary

Responsible for assisting guests with check-in and check-out processes in the hotel as well as many other guest-facing tasks. This position assists the front office in any daily duties that need to be completed.

• Effectively and seriously deal with guest complaints.
• Answer phone in a very courteous manner and respond to guests promptly and efficiently.
• Read log book and handle any outstanding requests.
• Make personal wake-up calls in a friendly and timely manner.
• Perform a variety of clerical and office duties, which may be assumed by one PBX or divided among several PBX according to the workload.
• Serve as information agent for hotel guests and handle their needs or direct information to satisfy their needs. Be fully aware of daily functions in the hotel.
• Log all incoming faxes and ensure prompt delivery.
• Keep DND log updated.
• Take accurate messages for guests and managers (including date, time, caller, message).
• Complete department check list each shift.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle more than one task at a time.
• Complete daily key inventory, issue and receive all employee keys.
• Demonstrate an outgoing and pleasant attitude with all guests and employees.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and professional work area.
• Do whatever necessary to help guests and fellow employees.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

• High school diploma required.
• Service experience preferred.
• Typing/computer keyboard and basic math skills required.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Has an enthusiastic willingness to work together with a team.
• Ability to work flexible hours (days, evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.).
