Job summary

Y-tec Keylex Toyotetsu Alabama is seeking an experienced manufacturing supervisor to lead team leads and hourly workers in a high‑volume production environment. You will plan and direct production operations, ensure safety, and maintain quality and 5S standards on the plant floor.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, coordinating training, solving problems, reviewing schedules, and driving cost reductions to meet yearly targets while supporting cross‑functional teams and ensuring timely

Qualifications

• Five years of production experience with at least two years in a supervisory position.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Preferred experience as Team Leader/Supervisor in automotive environments (Welding or Ecoat) and Plex experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of self and others by following all safety policies and wearing required PPE.
• Lead and direct activities of hourly workforce to ensure two-way communication and efficient performance.
• Evaluate, develop, and ensure appropriate training processes when employees move jobs.
• Aid team members in solving problems affecting performance; consult Manager/HR as needed.
• Review production schedules to ensure timely manufacturing and on-time delivery.
• Plan and review production operations, establishing priorities and sequences.
• Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to minimize costs and delays.
• Report machine or personnel issues to leadership.
• Ensure quality requirements and procedures are understood and met.
• Develop and coordinate cost reduction activities to meet yearly targets.
• Monitor and adjust to meet quality, productivity, safety, and 5S standards.
• Maintain regular attendance; work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Perform other duties to support YKTA goals and objectives.

Summary/ Objective:Supervise and lead all team leads and team members in all aspects of their jobs. Coordinate activities of Team Members to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations while promoting a team environment and improving all methods.Essential Functions (but are not limited to):Ensures safety of self and others by following all Safety Policies/Procedures and wearing all required PELeads and directs activities of hourly workforce to ensure two-way communication, development of skills, resolution of concerns, and efficiency of performance.Evaluate, develop, and ensure appropriate training processes are completed when employees move to different jobs.Aid team members in solving problems/ concerns that affect their performance.Evaluate the issue and consult Manager and/ or Human Resources as needed to determine the most effective resolution.Review production schedules to ensure the manufacturing of product(s) is completed and scheduled delivery dates are met.Plan and review production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
