Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) seeks a Sustaining Engineer for Chassis Systems in Foster City, CA. You will own sustaining engineering and corrective action development across in-service fleets and current production, guiding root cause analysis and fleet-wide implementation.

You will drive end-to-end resolutions for Steering, Suspension, and Brake systems, apply MTBF data, and lead design updates and validation plans at component, system, and vehicle levels.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or electrical engineering (MS preferred).
• 6–8 years in chassis-related systems within development, manufacturing, or sustaining.
• Experience delivering subsystem corrective actions to improve reliability, durability, or manufacturability in production vehicles.
• Experience with root cause analysis, DFMEA, and product and process validation.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Own sustaining engineering and corrective action development for chassis systems across the in-service fleet and current production.
• Drive end-to-end resolution of field and manufacturing issues for Steering, Suspension, and Brake systems.
• Use MTBF, failure rates and downtime data to prioritize work and validate solutions.
• Lead design updates and system improvements for performance, durability, and serviceability.
• Manage Engineering Change Requests and validation plans at component, system, and vehicle levels.
