Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Chassis Systems Engineer for Ford Racing in the United States. You will integrate chassis components into vehicle-level systems, partnering with D&R, Vehicle Engineering, and cross-functional teams to meet performance targets and maintain validation traces.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, experience with chassis systems and ADAMS CAE modeling, and strong communication skills to coordinate with global teams. On-site roles at Ford facilities are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Experience in chassis systems, vehicle dynamics, vehicle architecture or suspension component engineering across the vehicle lifecycle.
• Experience with ADAMS vehicle dynamics CAE modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of chassis systems and interfaces with other vehicle systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for suspension hardpoints and the vehicle ADAMS CAE model.
• Assess chassis systems health chart metrics at milestones and close gaps with component engineers.
• Coordinate durability vehicle preparation and testing to align part pedigree with CAE model.
• Lead problem-solving for chassis component issues using test data to guide decisions.
• Support testing, prototype builds, launch builds, and production of Ford Racing vehicles.
• Set targets for ride height and alignment and monitor status at builds.
• Cascade travel and load requirements to shock and spring suppliers.
• Interface daily with global D&R engineers, vehicle teams, suppliers, and manufacturing.
